Delivery from Private Outlet, how does it work?
Fashion for men, women, kids and even home deco. We’ve got a little something for everyone here at Private Outlet:
Whether you find a product appealing or are just going nuts about it, you know you’re going to buy it but when will you be able to use it? No problemo, we’re going to tell you all about your parcel’s journey!
Before you even confirm your purchase you’ll want to know the delivery date concerning the item of interest. Each product’s delivery date is indicated in its specific product description and also in your basket’s summary before you finalize your order’s payment.
You’ll also find this piece of information in the order’s confirmation email that you’ll receive once the payment is accepted and also in the “My Account > My Orders” section of our website. Basically, you can check if your order is being prepared anytime you want.
Usual delivery delay is 20 work days (Saturdays and Sundays excluded).
So why should you have to wait to receive that parcel you already want to unwrap?!
We’re sure all you’re waiting for is to be able to put on that little dress you’ve just ordered! But first, there are a few necessary stages that your order will have to go through in order to be delivered in optimal conditions…and it will take a little time!
First of all, in an average of 7 days after a Private Outlet sale closes our Logistics department receives the items our suppliers have reserved for us.
Once the items are in our warehouse, our packaging team will process your order in a maximum of 3 days. As soon as everything is ready we will ship to order to you via DHL. We will also send you a dispatch confirmation email containing your order’s tracking reference. This reference contains 13 symbols of which 1 is a letter and 12 are numerals (eg: 8D00432154798). In only a few clicks you’ll be able to find out the latest piece of information concerning your parcel on the DHL.co.uk website.
Last but not least, DHL.co.uk will handle your parcel until it reaches your delivery address. Depending on the delivery country, the delay can range from 2 to 4 days.
Once you but all these indispensable little stages together it amounts to quiet some time but it’s all necessary to process the thousands of orders that leave our warehouse every day. Also, buying that dress with a 70% discount is something worth waiting for isn’t?
Here are a few recommendations and pieces of advice you should read before taking delivery of your parcel:
- Never accept a parcel which is visibly damaged (traces of opening/deterioration)
- If a damaged parcel’s delivery voucher has been signed it will be considered as accepted as such. You must imperatively send us a request when the delivery occurs or else we will not be able to take it under consideration.
- Our parcel preparation processes are very strict and guarantee flawless parcel. Please check that the guarantee seals on your package are untouched.
- If a someone else is to receive your order please forward these recommendations on to them. If you are absent from the delivery address when the delivery takes place a second delivery attempt will be made the next day.

how come you advertise Free Delivery if on my bill I still have to pay for the dispatch?
Posted by: Anita | April 11th, 2011 12:47
Dear Anita,
Please be assured that Private Outlet does not have a free delivery policy.
Our current shipping fee policy is based on the following criteria:
- weight and size of the package,
- the brittleness of the ordered items,
- the country of delivery.
In all circumstances, the delivery charges of your order will always be indicated on the website before the payment of your order.
This being said, from time to time we advertise free shipping to selected destinations during specific campaigns.
Unfortunately this is not currently the case for the United Kingdom.
Regards,
Lizzie

Dear Anita,
Breaking news! Due to numerous customer requests such as your own, our marketing team did indeed activate a FREE DELIVERY campaign on our UK website this morning. This special offer will last until the end of the week.
Just type in the password: YESWEEK when you check out and your shipping fees will automatically shift to FREE in your order’s summary.
I’m sorry for all the confusion, but the result is you can indeed order from any of our current sales and pay nothing for shipping.
Regards,
Lizzie

I’ve registered at your main website but I can’t make a payment! I tried to pay by credit card VISA (Cyprus bank), PayPal but each time your banking system declines. How can I do that? I’m from Russia, but as an address to deliver I use intermediary addresses in UK. May I verify my card in your system otherwise?
By the way, when buying in other UK shops I have no problems.
Thanks.
P.S. I’m posting my request here because I didn’t find the proper place nor the email address.

Dear Daulet,
I’m afraid this is a matter you’ll have to discuss with our customer service directly as I myself can’t answer your inquiry. They will look into why our payment system is declining your card, it’s most probably an automatic refusal to avoid bank card fraud.
You can contact the Private Outlet Customer Service by filling out an inquiry form here.
Hope this all gets settled soon so you can finally start shopping on our website!
Regards,
Lizzie
