As we approach the New Year, Private Outlet’s devoted editors, including yours truly, are indulging in a little nostalgia and taking a misty-eyed look back on the work of this past year. And what an account it is! How can we choose the best moments from this embarrassment of riches! Why, it would take…at least 365 days!

So, we decided that it would be best to have a little retrospective on one of the stars of our closets, a best-seller for ages 7 to 70, a faithful friend that we always keep close at hand even if we can be ahem, somewhat fickle otherwise…BLUE JEANS!!

Below, you’ll find a little list of some of our favourites, some of which have been featured on our website…

At the top of the list are 7 For All Mankind and Free For Humanity, with their multitude of loveable details, including chic rhinestones and edgy rips!

Even more out there are the creations from the brand Tough Jeans, with washes, tears, ties and overlapping and patchwork effects: the message is clear, let’s have some fun with our denim!

Meltin’Pot and LEVI’S are close behind, perfect for fans of fun, bright colours and a relaxed fit.

For jeans with a closer, even skin-tight fit, our money’s on Seven- again! – with straight leg or skinny jeans that approach jeggings and will make your bottom look great! Even more so studded with a few Swarovski crystals…and hey, it’s worthy!

While we’re on the subject of ultra-feminine denim, here’s a recent discovery that we just can’t get enough of: Hudson, with their skirts that never fail to create a sleek, sexy silhouette!

Don’t forget this short-but-sweet playsuit by Pepe Jeans: nothing works better for slimming the stems!

And finally, Diesel, the denim force to be reckoned with, provider of key pieces to your wardrobes, 100% cotton AND style!
