Just when you thought you had recovered from the ‘other’ royal wedding…

However, this go around promises to be pure fun, thanks to no annoying crowds and no nagging taxpayer anxiety. Let’s take a peek at the glamorous details of Prince Albert of Monaco’s upcoming marriage to Charlene Wittstock, shall we?

The 3-day affair kicks off this weekend, and will include a free concert for 15,000 by The Eagles. Wedding vows will be exchanged not in the Monaco Cathedral made famous by Grace Kelly’s wedding to Prince Rainier III, but a breezy, modern outdoor ceremony in the courtyard of the palace. We just love backyard weddings!

The bride will wear a custom gown designed by Giorgio Armani, who has dressed her to great effect. Below: the future princess taking in the Giorgio Armani Privé runway show in January of 2009.

The wedding reception dinner will feature all-local ingredients and be cooked by no other than Alain Ducasse, the proud owner of 19 Michelin stars who just opened his latest restaurant in Saint Petersburg.

Finally, the happy couple will travel in style in a custom-made hybrid Lexus.
